Posted by Nik, Subscribe to Rakeback News
It´s no secret in the industry that the Cake Poker Network had plenty of troubles the last couple of months. The average player traffic has decreased from over 1000 players a few months ago to 600 players right now (Pokerscout.com). Cardroom manager and industry veteran Lee Jones left the sinking ship last december and Doyles Room moved to the Yatahay Network.
PokerListings, one of the industy leaders in affiliate marketing, confirmed the recent rumors of undertaking a strategic partnership with the Cake Poker Network. Industry insiders are claiming, 50% of the Cake Network has been sold to PokerListings which wants to drive a minimum of 2,000 new depositing players to their new partner.
What does this mean for Rakeback-Account players?
Actually these are very good news for our players. First, the Cake Poker Network should be save now and doing fine in the near future. Secondly, there will be plenty of recreational player traffic on the Cake Network which will loosen up the games tremendously. Thirdly, we are expecting many improvements for US players. Adding eCheck and MoneyLineWallet as payment options for US poker players was the first step in the right direction.
